SoX

SoX (Sound eXchange) ist der Spezialist, wenn es um Formatkonversion und Effektbearbeitung von Audio-Dateien geht.

Die Software wird über die teilweise etwas sperrige Kommandozeile bedient und bringt keine grafische Oberfläche mit. Trotzdem ist sie aufgrund der Funktionsfülle für audiophile Benutzer einen genaueren Blick wert.

Gerade in der Stapelverarbeitung von Audiodateien spielt SoX seine Vorteile aus.

Fazit: SoX ist für GUI-Geschädigte sicherlich auf den ersten Blick ein Stück ungemütliche Software. Trotzdem gibt es kaum einen anderen Konverter, der kostenlos eine solche Audio-Vielfalt in sich vereint. Wer häufig wiederlehrende Effekt- und Formatkonversionen zu erledigen hat, der wird mit SoX und BATCH-Dateien o.ä. einen treuen Helfer finden. (mg)
